Apex Legends 13th Season Patch Notes Now Nerf Fortified Legends
Respawn released patches notes detailing changes to Apex Legends' new 13th season ahead of its launch May 10.
Respawn Entertainment released Apex Legends Season 13 patch notes. There are many interesting changes in this season's update. Major nerfs are coming to both legends with Fortified passive abilities and the Spitfire, which will reduce the defense potential for characters such as Gibraltar.
Others legends will be tweaked too. Valkyrie won't be able use her skyward dive for bullet dodgers anymore, while Rampart's ultimate and tactical abilities are getting buffs. Legends and weapons
Care Packages will see the Spitfire lose its barrel mod slot, as well as decreased damage, increased reload times, and other important nerfs. Although the Devotion will get a similar treatment, it won't be nearly as drastic. The weapon will require longer drawing and holstering times and will suffer a slightly reduced damage. A slight decrease in power is being given to the Kraber. Its headshot multiplier, which will now be 2 instead of 3, will reduce damage by 5 points.
Rampart's Amped Cover ability gives more health and decreases the time it takes to deploy a shield. Also, her ultimate ability has also been buffed. Shilla's spin up time was reduced by 0.5 seconds.
There will also be changes for Valkyrie. Season 13 will be live. Valkyrie won't have the ability to spin while she uses her Skyward Dive ability. This exploit often leads to frustration. Valkyrie can sometimes activate her ultimate ability to spin and ascend to the sky. It allows Valkyrie to avoid bullets easily.
Headshots will be more efficient for Legends who have the Fortified passive. However, Epic and Rare helmets will get a buff to increase their headshot protection of 10 and 15 points respectively (Rare helmets),

Beyond bounds
The map's "out-of-bounds" area will prevent legends from using their passive abilities and other abilities. The map's "out of bounds" area is where players will be killed if they don't return to their intended gameplay area within a certain time. Once Season 13 starts, players won’t have the ability to use weapons, healing or survival items.

Loot and map
Both the Flatline and Longbow will be returning to the loot pool below the ground. The Rampage and R-301 will replace them in the Replicator. The Care Package will no longer include the Spitfire, while the Mastiff shotgun and Spitfire will remain in the loot pool. The Care Package will continue to be used by the Volt for another season.

Fortified Legends
- Headshot damage is not reduced by Fortified.

- The headshot multiplier has fallen from 3.0 to 2.0

- Reload times increased from 2.6 to 3.0
- Handling times slightly increased

- Headshot damage multiplier reduced from 1.75 to 1.5
- Headshot distance reduced from 64 m to 57 m
- The overheat cooling-off period increased from 2.5 minutes to 3.6 minutes

- Reduced damage from 16 to 15.
- Headshot damage multiplier reduced from 1.75 to 1.5

- Reload times increased from 2.8 to 3.0
- From 0.7, draw time was increased to 0.8
- Holster time was increased from 0.75 to 0.65

Havoc
- Increased recoil at pattern's beginning

- Increased injury to the limbs from 0.8 up to 1.0
Crate Weapons

Spitfire
- Reduced damage from 19-18
- Purple & Gold Magazine's capacity has been reduced to 55 to 50
- Crouched hipfires have increased in popularity
- Removed the barrel attachment slot
- Headshot damage multiplier reduced from 1.75 to 1.5
- Headshot distance reduced from 64 m to 57 m
- Reload times increased from 3.2 to 3.4.
- From 0.7, draw time was increased to 0.8
- Holster time was increased from 0.75 to 0.65
- From 0.55, the time it took to raise the rate was 0.65
- From 0.5, the lower time was 0.6
Mastiff
- Blast pattern with a tightening bolt
- Reduced ammo storage capacity from 6 to 4.
- Stockpile ammunition: 28
- The damage per pellet has increased from 11-14
- Increased pellet size
- The Fire Rate has increased from 1.1 to 1.
Cells & Syringes
- The cell and Syringe spawn rate rates were reduced by 18%
Improvements
- Sheila's spin-up times decreased from 1.75 to 1.25 seconds
- Increased coverage for health - Amped from 45 to 120
- The time taken to deploy an amplified cover was reduced from 4.25 to 3.
Valkyrie
- Skyward Dive - Cannot spin freely while being launched
Out of Bounds
- The following items will not work if you go out of bounds:

- Armor, Survival and Ordinances
- You can use healing items to help you heal (but they won't cancel your session mid-healing).
- All Active Passives Valks Jet Packs
World's Edge
- New windows in Lava Siphon Control Tower have been redesigned to help focus sights
- Lava Siphon's Lava Pit has been given additional coverage
- Gondola loot was modified. There are now fewer chances to find high-tier armor within them. Climatizer, Lava Siphon and other High Tier Loot POIs will remain.

BUG FIXES
- For players in Bangalore who have unintentionally gotten aim assistance on targets other than smoke, fix

- For cases in which the weapon or reticle has a jittery animation while the player is crouched, fix for Volt animation
- Fixed animation glitch caused by weapons or attachments being dropped/switched in Charge Tower interactions
- Fixed for Charge Rifle Legendary Skin 'Curse of the Amazon" where the upper portion of the weapon was blocking camera view during aiming down sites.
- Fixed bug in cases where the user accesses replicators and pulls up inventory prior to the UI for replicators showing up. They can then drop their weapon and are stuck in a crouched posture.
- Canyonlands: Fixed for players who might be blocked while activating Valk's Ultimate.
- Fixes a bug in Season Trackers that no longer showed the season stats they were tracking.
- Fixed bug in which the Sentinel was able to charge immediately when vaulting.
- Xbox One: Fixed cases in which players were stuck at the "waiting to players" screen and had to miss the Legend Select phase.
- A problem has been fixed: If you knock a member of an enemy team, and they then die before the kill is taken, the kill can be rewarded to another team.
- ARENAS – Fixed an issue with Wingman's Boosted Loader.
- Fix: Finishers no longer count towards damage for Challenges
- Fixed bug in which Purple Evo shields glow though closed care packages and loot pins.
- Repair for deaths of players who come in direct contact with a deathbox while onboard an airship.
- Fixed bug that caused players to be killed by throwing caustic barrels at an open door.
CRYPTO
- Fixed cases where Crypto's sword (heirloom) is stuck to his body when his drone is being deployed.
- Missing arm texture can be an issue in his Heirloom equipped with "Deadly Byte", which is causing the Heirloom to fail inspection.
- Fixed cases where players were able to instantly recall their Drone after activating their Ultimate.
- Fixed bug when Crypto uses his legendary skin. While being revived with a Mirage, it turns him invisible, except his sunglasses, which are visible during revive.
FUSE
- Fixed bug in which the use of Fuse's Tactical with water led to excessively loud audio.
- Fixed bug that allows players to extend Motherlode’s range by using flyers, Crypto’s drone, loot drones and Loba’s Bracelet.
HORIZON
- Horizon's Ultimate will disappear if the player opens another door.
MIRRAGE
- Repair for bug in which the shield regeneration of Wattson's ultimate would reveal Mirage’s location when Mirage is not visible while he is reviving.
- Fixed bug that Mirage's decoys could sprint faster if they were armed with an object than if they were unarmed.
PATHFINDER
- Problem with grappling ground Loot Rollers causing players to be thrown at high speed.
NEW CUSTOM MATCH SYSTEM
The previous private match system is being replaced by Custom Match.
- Enhancements to Custom Match:

- When returning from match to lobby, Custom Match saves team names and matches settings.
- Improvements in match flow
- Observer has been updated with new launch parameters.
- The color palette used by observers when viewing teams has been updated (Map Overview + Highlights).
- Also, the issue of color duplication previously observed on the map overview has been fixed
- Updated Team Eliminated text with an original color in Anonymous Mode for Custom Match
